We are more than a community of specialists in the Spanish language and the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
Hispanistas+ welcomes everyone who learns, teaches, studies, enjoys or is interested in Spanish and the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
There is no single way to connect with Spanish.
Some people start studying it. Others teach, research, read, travel, work with it or have a personal connection with a culture of the Spanish-speaking world.
Hispanistas+ brings them together.
A meeting place to keep learning, share knowledge and experiences, discover new perspectives and sustain your connection with Spanish over time.
You do not need to be a specialist to be a Hispanista+. You just need to want to belong.

Membership does not depend on nationality, background, Spanish level, qualifications or your current relationship with MiTUTOR. You need not be a teacher or researcher.

Everyone relates to the community differently. Hispanistas+ therefore envisages different membership levels that may evolve over time.
Membership model in preparation
Hispanista+
A community member.
The starting point for anyone interested in the Spanish language and the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
Active Hispanista+
A member who regularly participates in the community's activities, clubs, gatherings or initiatives.
Contributing Hispanista+
A member who also contributes through content, projects, activities, volunteering or other initiatives.
Hispanista+ Ambassador
A member helping to develop, represent or connect the community in a university, institution, city, region or country.
Honorary Hispanista+
Exceptional recognition for a career or contribution to Spanish, cultures of the Spanish-speaking world or the community deserving a special distinction.
Levels recognise participation and contribution, rather than Spanish level, money spent or financial means.
Specific criteria and operation of each option will be published before launch.
Mentor, club coordinator, author or volunteer may be recognised as additional roles in future.
04Hispanista+ membership card
Your Hispanista+ membership card
We are developing a digital card to identify every Hispanistas+ member throughout their relationship with the community.
Each person will have a permanent membership number. The card can be updated as participation in the community evolves without changing this number.

From Asia. Open to the world.
Hispanistas+ originates within MiTUTOR's international ecosystem, with a particular aim of connecting Asia with the Spanish language and the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
The community welcomes people from any country or region who share this interest.
The long-term goal is to enable clubs, gatherings and local communities linked to universities, cities and other settings.
These local connections are part of future development; no operating local branches or clubs are announced yet.
